About Audit Apply
💡 Our Mission: To eliminate manual audit workflows, privacy concerns, and software subscription costs for Indian Chartered Accountants, corporate secretaries, and tax consultants through modern client-side software tools.
1. Who We Are
Audit Apply is a free, privacy-first online toolkit engineered specifically for Indian Chartered Accountants (CAs), statutory auditors, tax practitioners, and corporate accounting teams. Built to handle everyday audit and tax calculations, Audit Apply eliminates repetitive manual work while protecting client data confidentiality.
2. Core Pillars of Audit Apply
🔒 100% Client-Side Privacy
All bank statement parsing, PDF manipulation, and GSTR reconciliations execute inside your browser. Confidential client records never get uploaded to remote cloud servers.
⚡ Lightning Fast Execution
Utilizing modern WebAssembly, JavaScript workers, and SheetJS engine, large Excel workbooks and multi-page PDFs are processed instantly on your local hardware.
📜 Statutory Precision
Our calculators are continuously updated with notifications from the Income Tax Department (CBDT), GST Council (CBIC), and Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) for AY 2025-26.
3. Technical Overview & Architecture
Traditional PDF utilities and tax calculation tools process user files by uploading them to third-party cloud servers, introducing severe client data privacy risks under ICAI ethics code and data protection guidelines. Audit Apply solves this by shifting 100% of computational logic directly into the client's browser:
- Bank Statement PDF to Excel: Client-side text layer parsing and regex matrix extraction convert password-protected bank PDFs (SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, etc.) directly into formatted Excel (.xlsx) workbooks without external server calls.
- GSTR-2B & GSTR-1 Reconciliation: Performs complex multi-column matching between GST portal JSON returns and Tally/Busy purchase registers locally in memory.
- PDF Working Paper Suite: Merges, splits, compresses, annotates, and stamps MCA annexures on PDF files using client-side
pdf-liband WebAssembly OCR engines.
4. Sourced from Official Authorities & Editorial Standards (E-E-A-T)
All threshold limits, statutory due dates, interest rules (such as GST Section 50 net cash liability interest or Income Tax Section 234A/B/C interest), and CARO 2020 applicability decision trees are maintained by our CA research team using official gazette notifications and circulars. Our editorial and calculation vetting adheres to a strict 4-stage quality framework:
- Primary Source Statutory Tracking: Every legal threshold, formula, and procedural guide is directly sourced from official gazette notifications issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- Practitioner-Led Code Review: All client-side calculation formulas and tax logic are validated against statutory text and authoritative judicial precedents (such as the landmark Refex Industries ruling on GST Section 50 cash liability).
- Continuous Assessment Year Updates: Calculators and procedural blueprints are systematically reviewed each assessment year (current: AY 2026-27 / AY 2027-28) to reflect the latest Finance Act amendments.
- Corrections & Feedback Policy: We maintain an open feedback and corrections desk for practicing professionals. Any reported statutory update or amendment is verified and deployed within 24 hours.
